dh-migrations software package provides debhelper extension for session-migration support, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dh-migrations
dh-migrations is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dh-migrations package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dh-migrations *
You will get with dh-migrations package name, version, architecture and description in a table
